These third party applications could be very useful for you on a Mac. Thanks to the great authors! I've tried them and was very excited. The best of it all, they're free! But
some authors do accept donations. If you want to try them out, please go to their websites, macupdate.com or versiontracker.com for downloads.
Camino
They say: "Camino is a web browser for Mac OS X that has a Cocoa user interface, and embeds the Gecko layout engine. It is intended to be a simple, small and
fast browser for Mac OS X." I say: "Fast, standard conformed and nice looking! Not for the nerds at heart, could apply to be too simple."
VLC (VideoLAN Client)
They say: "It is a multi-platform multimedia player. It can read DVDs, VCDs, MPEG and DivX files and from a satellite card. It can also read a stream from
a network, sent by the VideoLAN Server or another source. The stream can be MPEG 2 TS in UDP or HTTP packets unicasted or multi-
casted on an IPv4 or IPv6 network."
I say: "A multipurpose player that plays almost every 'weird' movie file. A must have app!"
Audacity
They say: "Audacity is an audio editor. You can record sounds, play sounds, import and export WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files, and more. Use it to edit your
sounds using Cut, Copy and Paste (with unlimited Undo), mix tracks together, or apply effects to your recordings. It also has a built-in amplitude envelope editor, a

also supports VST plug-in effects."
I say: "A usefull little app for occasional sound editing."
PDFLab
They say: "PDFLab lets you split and join PDF documents as well as insert images and blank pages. You will also be able to easily create PDF documents out of
several images."
I say: "It's easy to use once you get used to it. A really powerful little app."
Mouseposé 1.3

Paparazzi!
They say: "This very simple tool takes screenshots of websites which do not fit on one screen. You specify the desired width, minimal height
and the URL. The program displays a preview and you can save the screenshot to PNG."
I say: "Forget the day when you had to make two or more screenshots of a
website and open another app, just to joined them together."
Renamer4Mac
They say: "The application makes it realy easy to rename a big number of files according to a preset pattern. It lets you rename your files in many different ways:
search & replace, insert/overwrite of text, number the files, and convert upper/lowercase."
I say: "Useful if you hate to receive files like: 'Poster spring-2005' and
would rather have: 'poster_spring_2005.
